Good strategy. Don't blame the king, blame his counselors. It's always the sensible thing to do in an absolute monarchy.

I notice folks wasting so much time blaming him when clearly everything is being managed behind the scenes by them

If you are looking for people to blame look at Trump supporters. 42% of Americans support Trump - even after grabbing Maduro and after giving immunity to that ICE killer in Minessota. These lunatics are not going away and cannot be put down. America’s decline is inevitable at this point. Change my mind:).

Trump, for all his supposed villany is not a complicated person. He's motivated deeply by greed and little else. That's not very unique really. The authoritarianism is a sideline. Fascism doesnt seem to be that important to him, that seems to originate with Stephen Miller, and is consistent with his resume and the hires from the Heritage Foundation.

Trump is just another crazy person. It's the junta of followers, senators, congresspersons, that is allowing all of this to continue.

Yes because they value the party higher than sane policies. They know if they abandon Trump now, they'll need to make a new party

Based on Trump’s current approval rating (42%) I think 1/3 of Americans are lunatics. These people are not going away and cannot be put down. America’s sundown is unstoppable.

The problem with non-compulsory voting is that only highly motivated actually vote.
In this case the highly motivated are becoming lunatics.
